Woman 2 Woman held “New Year, New Year” on Saturday at its facility in Osage Beach. Clients received an afternoon of many indulgences filled with massages, manicures, and hairstyling. They also learned make-up application techniques, created a new style and selected a professional wardrobe to take home. Event organizer and Woman 2 Woman volunteer Tami Wehmeyer hopes the makeovers help women not only feel better about themselves for more than just one day but becomes a step in rebuilding their lives. “It’s really remarkable to hear the success stories of women who come to Woman 2 Woman,” she said. “By the time they complete the program, they are out being a successful person all on their own.” Guests who attended the event received hairstyling from Bella Donna Salon in Osage Beach, chair massages from Debbie Rose Hill of Absolute Posture Chiropractic Wellness Center in Linn Creek and Jeanne Anderson of Professional Message Therapy Center in Osage Beach and manicures and hand massages from Woman 2 Woman volunteer Jasmine Henry. Woman 2 Woman case manager Sheila Polles and Rose Marie Unrein, Woman 2 Woman volunteer who also works at Cold Water Creek, assisted clients with clothing selection. Wehmeyer’s sister-in-law, Catrina Moulder, a stay-at home mother, demonstrated makeup application. The Woman 2 Woman staff was also essential in organizing and helping make the event a success.
