27th Annual Lake Area Christmas Parade

The Christmas spirit was alive and well in parade participants and spectators alike at the 27th Annual Lake Area Christmas Parade held Dec.10 along the Bagnell Dam Strip. The Christmas parade, which is one of the largest and oldest holiday parades in the Lake of the Ozarks, featured a variety of floats and participants followed by the grand marshals including School of the Osage High School Marching Band, Lake of the Ozarks Shriners organization, Lake of the Ozarks Corvette Club, police vehicles, fire department trucks, business floats and other civic organizations. Santa and Mrs. Claus and their elves arrived in style in a beautiful red sleigh attached to a pack of reindeer. After the parade, Santa parked his sleigh in front of The White House. Children and families brought their cameras so they could take pictures with the jolly fellow.
