The holiday enthusiasm is winding down and a new year has just arrived. Memories of the past 12 months can be short-lived unless you live and work in a community like ours. At the Lake we are blessed to live in this picturesque setting where nature's contribution include breathtaking sunsets, endless stretches of forests and water, which are complimented by a high quality of life. Whether you're a visitor or a new resident, you'll be greeted as a friend. The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the businesses and community for their continued support and are looking forward to the forthcoming year at the Lake of the Ozarks.
The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the launch of our new website www.lakeareachamber.com. The newly designed website went live the first of January and is aimed at building a network between members, the community and visitors to the Lake Area.
Our online visitors will now experience a more vibrant and seamless view of the entire Lake Area. We are excited to finally present the site to our members and community. The site is now loaded with information about the Lake Area. On our site you can now find our Business Directory, Relocation Guide and Legislative Resources.
Our Relocation Guide is an informative piece where future residents and residents alike can find the most recent information on our business climate, economic development, cost of living, health care, educational systems, crime rate and much more! The Legislative Resource page is the easiest way to find your appointed officials. We can direct you straight to their page and can provide all the correct information to contact them.
The new website has been a long time coming and we are thrilled to kick off the New Year in this manner. The new site features bold colors and graphics and will be an important resource for the entire Lake Community. The website features integration with social media platforms such as Twitter (@LakeAreaChamber) and Facebook and offers new user friendly navigational tools.
We believe the new website can provide essential resources for all those interested in Lake Area businesses. We invite everyone to visit and hope you find it informative of the Lake Area.
With the new website, we are now able to offer new benefits to our Chamber Members. We can now offer banner ad options for a small monthly fee, as well as web links from our site to yours. There are few options with our banner ads, our site allows for both static and dynamic ads. Space is limited so be sure and to call for more information.
The Chamber is now offering two new member benefits. The first is a number of high resolution pictures of the Lake of the Ozarks Landmark Sign in different seasonal colors. These photos are available for our members to use in developing advertising, or promotional media for their businesses. Also a new benefit for our members is our Conference Room Rental. This rental program is on a first come, first serve basis and is available for a nominal fee.
The New Year comes with fresh ideas and with fresh ideas come new events! The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce proudly puts together three major events a year: Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals, May 3-5; Midwest Wine & Brew Festival, August 10; and our annual Chamber Dinner, held in October. This year we are excited to announce our newest event, The Cocktails & Caddies Golf Tournament.
The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Committee is pleased to announce the 2013 Cocktails & Caddies Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held Friday, April 12, at Sycamore Creek Golf Club in Osage Beach. This golf tournament is the first of its kind to the Lake Area and makes for a great ladies-day out on the course featuring a luncheon where teams made up of three women bid on their fourth player/caddie, a male, during a live auction. Each team will bid on a caddie for their team. Each caddie will have special prizes along with his assistance on the course throughout the tournament.
The Committee is hard at work to make this year's tournament exciting and a huge success. Do not miss out on a great opportunity to showcase your business, golf with clients and associates, enjoy a great afternoon with friends and support the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
