Camdenton to hold to author presentation

The Camdenton R-III School District would like to invite students, parents, and other patrons to attend a special presentation by author Kate Klise at Hawthorn Elementary School on March 26. Klise is the author of several books that have won multiple awards. These include "Letters from Camp," "Trial by Journal," "Dying to Meet You," and "Stand Straight, Ella Kate." "Stand Straight, Ella Kate" is a picture book and a finalist for the 2012-13 Missouri Show Me Award.

Pizza will be served at 5:30 p.m. with the presentation starting at approximately 6 p.m. Klise will also be available to sign her books following the program. This event is sponsored by the Camdenton R-III Title I and afterschool services.

Klise works together with her sister, M. Sarah Klise, an illustrator. Klise worked 15 years as a correspondent for People magazine prior to becoming a full-time author. She was an English major at Marquette University. Klise currently lives on a farm in the Missouri Ozarks.
