Help Kids' Harbor Child Advocacy Center raise awareness in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month by sponsoring one or more pinwheels in Kids' Harbor's "Pinwheel Garden."
Pinwheels can be purchased for $5 each. The Pinwheel Garden will be displayed at the Camden County Courthouse front lawn at 10:30 a.m. on April 13. A proclamation will also be signed to recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month.
All pinwheels will be designated with the business name, family, individual, or in memoriam of a loved one by the purchaser.
The staff at Kids' Harbor also encourages the community to join them in "going blue' every Friday during the month of April.
The organization is holding its annual T-shirt campaign and is currently selling T-shirts and Polo shirts. The shirts are a 50/50 cotton polyester blend with the Kids' Harbor logo on the front. The saying on the back of the T-shirt, and on the sleeve of the Polo shirt, reads "Child abuse casts a shadow the length of a lifetime." Royal blue was chosen because April 13 is designated "Go Blue Day" across the state and nation as part of the Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Wear your shirt every Friday during the month of April and show your support for Kids' Harbor and Child Abuse Prevention Month.
T-shirts are $12 each for small, medium, large and XL, and $13 for XXL and XXXL. Polo shirts will be $15 each for small, medium, large and XL, and $16 for XXL and XXXL. Kids' Harbor is currently taking orders and shirts will be available on or before Sunday, April 1.
Kids' Harbor, Inc. has set a goal to sell at least 250 T-shirts this year. All proceeds from the sale of these shirts will benefit the organization. The proceeds will go into Kids' Harbor's general revenue to provide services to children, as well as provide training to their staff.
