Super Plungers begin dives Friday, Polar Strut set for Saturday morning

The 17th annual Lake of Ozarks Polar Plunge will be held Saturday at Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Public Beach no. 2 in Osage Beach. To become a Polar Plunge participant you can register on-line prior to the event, however, registration will also be open the day of the event.

CHS drama students take to the air

The Wicked Witch, along with a number of characters, will take flight this weekend in the Camdenton High School Laker Theatre Company production of “The Wizard of Oz.” Loaded with special effects, this musical is believed to be their best show yet. According to director Jo Beth Nicklas, this will be the first time Camdenton’s Theatre Company has performed “The Wizard of Oz.”

Ozark Daze: Spurring 'Clayton' memories - Part 1

I reviewed that old story and memories of that night and of the stories we heard that night came alive. The people that had assembled were truly historical representatives as truly being dam pioneers. As the night grew longer, the stories grew and through the wonder of imbibing, they sometime differed but did give a word picture of what was that grew to what is in that year, 1983. Some of it is worth sharing.
