Central Methodist University recently announced the athletic honors and awards for the 2014-2015 academic year. Local student-athletes honored include:

• Morgan Maples participated in spirit squad during the 2014-2015 academic year. Maples lettered in spirit squad. Maples is a senior business major from Lake Ozark.

• Abagail Williams participated in spirit squad during the 2014-2015 academic year. Williams lettered in spirit squad. Williams is a sophomore pre-nursing major from Osage Beach.

• John Hall participated in basketball during the 2014-2015 academic year. Hall lettered in basketball. Hall is a senior criminal justice major from Eldon.

• Kyle Nolawski played golf during the 2014-2015 academic year. Nolawski served on the Student Athlete Champions of Character Council and also lettered in golf. Nolawski is a senior elementary education major from Versailles.

More than 300 student athletes were recognized this past year. CMU offers 14 different athletic teams and is a member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. For more information about CMU please visit www.gocmu.org.

Since its founding in 1854, CMU has evolved into a university that confers master’s, bachelor’s and associate’s degrees through programming on its main campus in Fayette, Missouri, and through extension sites located across Missouri and online.
