Osage dominates Tipton on the road, faces Fatima Thursday at home

On Jan. 8, the Osage wrestling team continued their road trip by dominating Tipton 51-18.

Five varsity members took their matches by pin, with three winning by drawing a bye.

Skyler Bax (132 pounds) took down opponent Matthew Bagwill in less than a minute. Dalton Mundy (138 pounds) pinned Chance Baker at the 4:47 mark and Greg Crosby (145 pounds) pinned Wyatt Parker at the 3:05 mark.

Michael Henley (152 pounds) made quick work of Erle Price with a pin at the 1:25 point and Aidan Williams (182) won his match after a long five-minute power struggle over Jacob Buschjost.

Breauna Mundy (106 pounds), Zach Curran (120 pounds) and Chris Johnson (126 pounds) were unopposed in their weight classes.

The Osage grapplers fell 66-17 in a road match to Versailles last week.

The Indians won only three matches in the contest.

Chris Johnson (126 pounds) and Greg Crosby (145 pounds) both won their matches by pinning their opponents.

Johnson took down Justin Bauer in the second round. Crosby made quick work of his opponent Adam Guinn, shutting him down in the first round.

Zach Curran (120 pounds) won his match over Kaden Wilson by points with a technical fall after a full three rounds.

Osage will host Fatima on Thursday at the Heritage Gymnasium.
