On Dec. 13, students from Lynette Franklin and Lorraine Moore’s Camdenton School District Oak Ridge Intermediate sixth grade classes held a Family Philanthropy Dodge Ball Night.

All students were invited to create a team of family members and friends. The students and families also raised extra money through a raffle during the tournament raising a total of $133.50. The students then voted on a local charity where they would like to donate the money to and it came down to The Salvation Army.

A check was presented to Judy Crawford, the local Salvation Army representative.
