The Students of the Month for October at School of the Osage Middle School were Julia Dehner, Jonathan Schillaci, Skyler Smith, Gage Swofford, Taylor Nelson and Jordan Schultze.

Julia Dehner, sixth grade, is the daughter of Fred and Lisa Dehner. She plays the guitar and in her free time she enjoys playing outside or reading a book. Her favorite subjects are math and social studies.

Jonathan Schillaci, sixth grade, is the son of David and Cathren Martin. He participates in baseball and football. He also attends church at Riverview Baptist Church. In his free time he enjoys playing outside and spending time with friends. His favorite subject is math.

Skyler Smith, seventh grade, is the daughter of Lance and Chante Smith. She participates in basketball, softball and volleyball. She also attends church at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. In her free time she enjoys playing sports and being outside. Her favorite subject is pre-algebra.

Gage Swofford, seventh grade, is the son of Steve and Cara Swofford. He participates in Builders Club, football and soccer. In his free time he enjoys reading books and playing video games. His favorite subject is language arts.

Taylor Nelson, eighth grade, is the daughter of Randall and Rhonda Nelson. She participates in National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, Announcement Committee and horseback riding. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching tv and working. Her favorite subjects are French and algebra.

Jordan Schultze, eighth grade, is the son of Eric and Brenda Schultze. He participates in basketball, soccer, baseball and FFC Youth Group. In his free time he enjoys practicing basketball and watching tv. His favorite subject is math.

To receive the Student of the Month award, students must be nominated by their teachers. In addition to receiving the award, Outback Steakhouse gave each student a $25 gift card.
