When residents and visitors are out and about continuing their holiday shopping this weekend, there are some opportunities to get the outdoorsman or woman in their life a special gift.

Over the next few weeks, Bill Cassidy, Osage Beach Bait & Tackle owner, will share some fun gift ideas for every member of the family who loves fishing Lake of the Ozarks.

“This Shakespeare rod and reel lights up as it is reeled in and casted out, adding some additional fun and sparks longer interest for a beginning or experienced female fisherman.”

Next week, look for one hot fishing item for the man in the family, with one additional gift for kids at the holidays remaining.

In addition, Cassidy said if anyone would like to know about fishing whether it’s about crappie, catfish, bass, hybrids or other types, he requests them to stop in to Osage Beach Bait & Tackle to ask questions and learn more about fishing.

“We are here to answer any questions and are more than happy to teach you about fishing different types of fish, tie correct hooks, casting – whatever you need to know,” he said. “The only way you can become a better fisherman is by allowing someone to show and teach you. That’s what we do here and enjoy helping everyone become a better fisherman or woman, as well as get some nice catches here at the Lake.”

Cassidy also said if anyone would like to call in with questions regarding outdoors, hunting or fishing during his Saturday morning radio show, “Outdoors in the Ozarks,” from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on 1150 AM or 97.5 FM, call 573-302-7000. For more information, contact Osage Beach Bait & Tackle at 573-348-9333, and don’t forget to stop in and see Osage Beach Bait & Tackle’s mascot, Chewy the dog.
