Football honors abound for the Lake Area with Eldon and Camdenton both making it to the quarterfinal round and Osage through to the district championship game.
Osage’s Bo Dean received a C0-MVP nod for the Conference. He shared the honor with Blair Oaks’ Daniel Castillo.
Osage’s junior quarterback Bo Dean, who made the list on a unanimous vote, led the All-Conference first team offense for Tri-County. Dylan Jeffries was also a unanimous choice in the wide receiver spot for Osage, who finished with 7-5 record for the season.
The Eldon Mustangs (8-5) made first team offense with nods to Sheyne Stafford at running back and Beau Roseblock as offensive lineman.
The only honoree for second team offense was Brian Urwiler from Osage. He hit the list in the position of Offensive Lineman.
On the defense side, Urwiler got the nod for Osage as a defensive lineman and Tyler Winn made it in the linebacker spot.
Eldon’s powerful defensive showing that took them to the quarterfinal round also gave them three spots on the first team. Kyle Pitman was unanimously voted to the list for his work on the defensive line, while Sheyne Stafford made it for the outside linebacker slot. Defensive back Dalton Lister also made first team.
Only Eldon was represented on the honorable mention lists with Jacob Kirkweg taking a bow as offensive lineman and Logan Shinn getting a not for tight end. Roseblock for his work as a defensive linebacker.
Camdenton finished with four spots on first team All-Ozark Conference nods.
Cory Simpson made the list as quarterback and Murphy Ward took a running back spot. Offensive lineman Jarrett Glissendorf rounded out the offensive first team honorees.
On defense, only Chase Nugent made the list as a first team linebacker.
Second team honors for Camdenton went to Justin Bernabe (running back), and Kyle Rizer (offensive line). Alec Everett got a not for his work on the defensive line and Jake Voorhees took a lineback spot. Aric Osborn and Kullen Carlock both landed a defensive back slot on the second team.
Honorable Mentions were handed out to Ryan Elliott (WR), Austin Waters (OL) and Josh Lashley (OL) for the Lakers.
The All-District Class 3 list was released and not surprisingly Eldon and Osage were both well represented there, as well. The list is compiled and voted on by members of the Central District Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association.
Osage topped the First Team Offense list with Bo Dean at quarterback. Dylan Jeffries also made first team in the wide receiver slot.
Eldon’s running back Sheyne Stafford and offensive lineman Beau Roseblock also made first team offense.
First team defensive spots went to Brian Urwiler from Osage for the defensive lineman position.
Eldon’s Kyle Pitman also received a nod as defensive lineman and Beau Roseblock made it for second team defensive linebacker.
Second team offensive honors went to Osage’s Urwiler at the offensive lineman spot. Newcomer Robbie Mueller made the list as a kicker for Osage.
Raymond Kwok made the second team as a running back for Eldon and Jacob Kirkweg made it as an offensive lineman.
Second team defense saw three Eldon players in Logan Shinn at the linebacker spot. Dalton Lister and Wren Rodriguez both made the list for the defensive backs.
