Camdenton to hold to author presentation

The Camdenton R-III School District would like to invite students, parents, and other patrons to attend a special presentation by author Kate Klise at Hawthorn Elementary School on March 26. Klise is the author of several books that have won multiple awards. These include “Letters from Camp,” “Trial by Journal,” “Dying to Meet You,” and “Stand Straight, Ella Kate.” “Stand Straight, Ella Kate” is a picture book and a finalist for the 2012-13 Missouri Show Me Award.

Pizza will be served at 5:30 p.m. with the presentation starting at approximately 6 p.m. Klise will also be available to sign her books following the program. This event is sponsored by the Camdenton R-III Title I and afterschool services.

Klise works together with her sister, M. Sarah Klise, an illustrator. Klise worked 15 years as a correspondent for People magazine prior to becoming a full-time author. She was an English major at Marquette University. Klise currently lives on a farm in the Missouri Ozarks.

If you have any questions about the activities for the evening, contact Title I or afterschool service representatives at 573-374-5369 or 573-346-9233.
