School of the Osage DECA competed at the District DECA Career Development Conference Feb. 2 and brought home six medalists.
Those medalists were: Cassie Adams, first in Sports and Entertainment Marketing Research; Ali Super, first in Advertising Campaign; Ashleigh Calloway, first in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism; Nate Henry, second in Hospitality and Tourism Marketing Research; Danielle Komo, second in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism; and Kylie Shepherd, third in Business Services Marketing Research.
These students qualified for the State DECA that will take place on March 18-20 in Lake Ozark at the Lodge of the Four Seasons. Although it is one step at a time, all of these DECA members are hoping this same achievement comes for the state level as well. Organizers and students hope the next stop to be the international competition in Salt Lake City.
