“Generosity is not so much what you give, but who you are.”

Pam Evans said she believes such an attitude of the heart could easily be ascribed to the following Lake Area individuals and businesses business.

CADV Executive Director Angie Fiene, center, and fellow representatives showcase their girfts from the “Donation in the Name of Love” campaign.

Due to their selfless generosity and support of the “Donation in the Name of Love” campaign, Evans, senior sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, and Jay Evans, owner of the Ozark Pickle Pantry, were able to “gift” every woman and child who was being housed, or being counseled, at four Lake Area organizations including: Citizens Against Domestic Violence, Helping Hands Homeless Shelter, Haven of Hope of the Pregnancy Help Center and Woman 2 Woman.

The women each received a personalized pampering gift, along with stuffed toys if they had children. Being that most of these women are rarely appreciated for who they are, the gift was to make each one feel special and valued, and hopefully add an extra touch of love to their day, Evans said.

Not only were campaign organizers able to give each woman and child their own Valentine gifts — 48 in all, plus 18 stuffed toys and all tagged from the donors. They also were able to give all four organizations an extra $100.
