Laurie Elks Lodge No. 2705 recently honored Lake Career and Technical Center (LCTC) January Student of the Month recipients Linnea Gatz and Heaven Morgan.
Linnea Gatz is a senior at Camdenton High School enrolled in the LCTC Health Sciences program for the fourth year. She is taking Health Occupations II/Clinical Experience. At LCTC, Gatz is the president of SkillsUSA and the historian of the SkillsUSA District Team. She also participates in A plus tutoring and is a blood drive volunteer and blood donor. Also at LCTC, Gatz has received Superior Achievement Awards and was a member of the 2011 First Place SkillsUSA Health Knowledge Bowl Team. After high school graduation Gatz plans to work as a Certified Nurse Assistant while pursuing a degree in nursing.
Heaven Morgan is a junior at Camdenton High School enrolled in LCTC Agriculture classes for the past three years. Currently she is taking the Livestock Operations and Management class. At the high school, Morgan is the wrestling manager, a member of the National Honor Society and an A plus tutor. At LCTC, she is the secretary of the local FFA Chapter. Heaven has received superior achievement awards and participated in the NHS “Adopt a Family.” After high school graduation Morgan wants to pursue a veterinarian degree at the University of Missouri.
