Osage wins track meet; Eldon second

Eldon and Osage met on the track last week for the first time this spring as Osage hosted a quad meet with Eldon, South Callaway and Crocker. Osage and Eldon dominated most events, but Osage won the meet with Eldon coming in second, South Callaway third and Crocker in fourth place overall.

Osage’s Jacob Wermuth won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.5 seconds, beating out James Ellis of Eldon, who finished with a 16.36 for second place.

In the 100-yard dash, Cody Maher (OHS) took first with his 11.34 time with teammate Nate Rechenmacher finishing with a close 11.52. Eldon finished the field with McClellan, Stafford, Pyatt and Brown.

Cross Country runner Tristan Hensley won the 1,600-meter run with a 5:01 time, but Eldon’s Hocking was right on his heels with a 5:02 finish.

In the 800-meter relay Osage finished at 1:35 with Eldon right on it with a 1:36.

Eldon’s Beau Roseblock took first in the discus with a 130-foot, 6-inch throw with Osage’s Christian Williams taking second with 123-9. Williams took first in the shot put with a throw of 42-8 and Roseblock finished fourth in the pack with a 39-3 toss.
