Three arrested on drug charges in Miller County

Miller County Sheriff Bill Abbott said on the evening of Dec. 13, deputies from his office along with the Mid-Mo Drug Task Force responded to an apartment in Iberia where the found a methamphetamine lab.

According to a press release from Abbott’s office, William Betts, 31, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession and manufacturing methamphetamine and on the current charges of possession and manufacture of a controlled subject.

Betts is being held in the Miller County Jail on a $500,000 and a $25,000 cash or surety bonds.

Also arrested were Brandy Edmonds, 19, for possession and manufacturing of a controlled substance. Edmonds is being held in the Miller County Jail on a $500,000 cash or surety bond.

Crystal Pogue, 25, was also arrested and charged with manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance. Pogue is also being held on a $500,000 cash or surety bond.

Several small children who were inside the residence were placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services.
